Leading with Technology


  • Directed organization and customer-facing enterprise resource planning (ERP) processes to automate, customize, manage, and integrate with key business systems, including financials, sales, customer (CRM), and human capital management focused on increasing process efficiencies, accelerate business performance, and lowering expenses. 
  • Led system lifecycle system requirements, architecture design, development teams, quality assurance methods, and go live launches of many cloud-based enterprise operating systems and web-based platforms, including the of the first Illinois college campus mobile credential technology.


Optimization of Business Operations


  • Drove high-performing retail team while overseeing all aspects of sales channel initiatives increasing revenue by $500K. Integrated innovation philosophies and tools, including cloud e-commerce, order fulfilment, shipping, taxability, and web analytics solutions to improve selling opportunities, increase revenue, and insured operating efficiencies. Developed private label merchandise and created wholesale manufacturing relationships to drive gross margins to top 55%. 
  • Redesigned the campus culinary, dining, and retail business unit, moving from an outsource model to an internal operating infrastructure. Reimagined and transformed the operation from the bottom up, including moving from an administrative to a chef lead management methodology. Change resulting in lower operating and labor costs, higher gross margins, improved product deliverable, and enhanced customer satisfaction.  


Award Winning Capital Development


  • Designed to support current and future generations of pediatricians in their work on behalf of children, a new five-story, 183,000-square-foot new headquarters of the American Academy of Pediatrics offers energy efficient building systems, sustainable construction, and offers extensive daylighting featuring a colorful, light-filled design with transparent fins radiating from each façade. In addition to workspace for the Academy's over 500 professional staff, the building includes an expansive conference center to host meetings for the Academy's physician members.
  • Design and construction of the Daniel L. Goodwin Hall of Business, an Award Winning 125,000 square-foot instruction facility, featuring a 600-seat auditorium for presentations and lectures from leading business thinkers; a state-of-the-art Bloomberg Trading Lab providing students with access to peer-ranked investment simulations; licensed Starbucks café, and a 6,000-square-foot “Global Hall” entrance area that includes an etched glass globe, digital stock ticker and billboard-sized high-definition media wall that can broadcast business news from across the world.
  • Led the expansion of the University reach to the United States southwest. Drove efforts in responding to the Arizona H.E.A.T. initiative to become the first Catholic institution of higher education in the state of Arizona. Directed the $10M, 70,000-sq.-ft. adaptive reuse of the Mesa Arizona historic Southside Hospital to become the Award-Winning learning and operational hub for the University, Willis Gillett Hall.
